A Special Family Session Close to My Heart
This family session was extra special for me because I’ve known these kids since they were little—I even used to babysit them! Now, seeing Casey (23), Peyton (20), Cole (17), and Max (16) all grown up and still living under one roof felt like such a full-circle moment. Photographing them in this stage of life was both fun and meaningful.
Capturing Their Active, Fun-Loving Spirit
What makes this family so unique is their energy and closeness. They’re always on the move—whether it’s riding dirt bikes, taking out the jet skis, or catching up on Love Island. As they shared in their questionnaire, “We do a lot together, very active family.” That sense of adventure and togetherness really shined through during their photoshoot.
Individual Moments That Last Forever
One request that meant a lot was to capture individual portraits of each of the kids. Those portraits will be turned into black-and-white prints—a timeless way to freeze this chapter of life. Parents know how fast the years go, and it’s those little snapshots in time that mean the most later on.
When asked what they wanted to remember 20 years from now, their answer touched me deeply: “The fact that we all still live under one roof!” That love for home and family is something truly special.
Laughter, Playfulness, and Real Connection
This crew leaned toward fun photos, which meant lots of laughter, playful prompts, and candid moments. No stiff posing here! Cole was doing back tucks, we got some muscle shots, everyone was holding hangs, hugging, and laughing! It felt more like we were just hanging out and being silly!
Through it all, what stood out most was how naturally their bond showed in every photo. These kids may be growing into young adults, but the love they share with each other and with their parents is still strong and so easy to see.
