Awaiting Baby Julianna | A Golden Hour Maternity Session at Peace Valley Park
There is something so special about the season before a baby arrives.
The excitement. The anticipation. The quiet moments together before everything changes.
I recently had the joy of photographing Paul and Carley Dunn as they prepared to welcome their sweet baby girl, Julianna Ainsley Dunn, who is expected to arrive on July 4, 2026. We met at the beautiful Peace Valley Park in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, for a sunset maternity session filled with golden light, soft breezes, and so much love.
As a Quakertown, Pennsylvania maternity photographer, these are the moments I love capturing most;
the connection between two people as they get ready to become parents.
Carley told me she was hoping for “boho natural vibes” and wanted a session that would help her feel beautiful, even though she wasn’t feeling like her best self during pregnancy. I think so many moms can relate to that feeling.
Pregnancy is beautiful, but it can also be hard.
That is why I love creating a relaxed experience where moms can slow down, feel confident, and see themselves through a different lens.
From the moment we started walking through the fields at Peace Valley Park, Carley absolutely glowed. Her flowing butter yellow dress moved beautifully in the evening light, while Paul stayed close by her side every step of the way.
One of my favorite things about their session was how natural they were together.
There was no need to force moments.
The way Paul looked at Carley, the way they held hands, and the way they smiled at each other told the story all on its own.
As the sun began to set, we spent time by the water creating some of the most peaceful images of the evening. The golden light wrapped around them while they imagined what life will be like when baby Julianna finally arrives.
These are the moments that matter.
The in-between moments.
The moments before sleepless nights, first smiles, first steps, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with welcoming a new baby.
What made this session even more meaningful is how Carley found me.
Carley and I actually met a few years ago when I photographer her friend Mary getting engaged at Hellerick's Adventure Farm. She helped make the whole surprise proposal run smoothly and it was really funny that both of us still had the text messages about all the planning that went into that special time! She shared that that was when she first heard about Sweet AF Photography! I then also photographer her other friend, Ann's, engagement photos! It is always such an honor when past clients and friends trust me enough to share my work with the people they love.
As a photographer, there is no greater compliment.
Watching Carley and Paul together made me so excited for the journey ahead of them. Baby Julianna is already surrounded by so much love.
Their session was filled with laughter, quiet moments, warm embraces, and the kind of connection that reminds me why I love what I do.
